Bejewelled Skylark

This was the look I wore last Wednesday.  I really liked it!

Forgive me for taking too many pictures.  It's a problem I have due to an irrational fear that none of them will turn out remotely good.

I used Rouge Bunny Rouge Bejewelled Skylark on the lid and into the crease.  It's so lovely!  I'm not sure, but it may have caused my one eye corner to get irritated.  I'm only guessing really, but maybe due to red pigment in it?  So worth the trouble and pain, though!  I will try wearing it again at some point and hope for a better result.

For the lower lash line I smudged Makeup Geek Goddess into pencil eyeliner.  I'm not even sure I remember which pencil I used.  It was black or brown, I'm sure about that.

This was my first time wearing a beige sort of blush!  I actually really like how it worked here.  I don't imagine I'll want to wear it with every look, but I can see now that it serves a purpose.  Hooray for trying something new and being pleasantly surprised by it!

I had some creasing and fading through the day with Bejewelled Skylark, on my occasionally creasy left eye, but I don't know if that was related to the irritation I had with that outer corner as well (maybe watering somehow affected the wear).  Also, perhaps my beloved Lorac eye primer is past its peak?  I've been using it for what seems like an eternity!  That stuff never runs out.  In any case, I will be trying Bejewelled Skylark again, for sure, and will hope for a better result.  If nothing else, I can always layer it over a similarly colored base or just switch to my unopened Nars eye primer.  :)

Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by!

  3. Nicole - uh oh! (but in a good way) I hope you love it! Their shadows are really impressing me so far.

Lou - thank you so much! I love a shiny copper, as well! It makes my eyes look more blue - and I know that they would look stunning on you as well! You have the prettiest eye color. :)

Please be kind. I'm happy to learn and grow, but it's also my face we're talking about! Also, no shamelessly promoting your blog or site here, please. Thank you!
