Bite Cuvée Set

Here are some swatches of the new Bite Cuvée lipsticks.  I recently bought the new and limited edition set.  From left to right are:  Rose, Blush, Blanc, and Coral.  The most color accurate picture is below (thanks to the warm morning sun in the other two pictures).

These taste delicious and sweet, like most Bite lip products.  They also smell kind of lovely and perfumed.  I would call it a floral scent.  It's not obnoxious to me, but is definitely noticeable.  The pigmentation and texture are superb!  Blush and Blanc are least pigmented, but still quite pigmented, especially for lighter colors.

Below, I am wearing Rose as well as some super bronze-y makeup.

Rose is an almost red pink.  It deepened into a more red red as the day wore on.  Initially, it was ultra buttery smooth and silky soft.  While it didn't dry my lips nearly as much as some other mucho pigmented formulations, my lips were still slightly dry by the end of the long day.  I also needed to re-touch the inner portions of my lips about every 2-3 hours.  I had no bleeding or feathering, but I did use my trusty Urban Decay Ozone clear lip liner outside of my lip line.

Overall, I am very happy with this set!  I recommend it, most especially if you love pinks and cool toned lipsticks.  Bite does some really excellent lipsticks and is natural with food-grade quality ingredients, which I think is pretty cool.  These are so tasty you may have to hold yourself back from snacking on them!!

If you are wondering about Blanc, my gut tells me that it's going to be a tough color for most people to successfully pull off.  It's quite pale.  I wore it today but have no decent pictures yet.  It's a very cool almost lilac toned sort of super light pink.

I regret that my skin looks so matte here!  I honestly feel it looks much more glowy and natural in person.  Also, my lips look terribly blotchy and sad.  If only I'd put on just a pinch of color or something to even them out a little more.  On a positive note, I enjoy how the black eyeshadow and liner makes my eyes look really blue.  :)  The Makeup Geek eyeshadows are really top notch and a pleasure to work with.  I only wish I'd taken my time a little bit more to blend out the black from my lid into my crease.

The more I look at these pictures, the more things I find that I am unhappy with.  That must mean it's time to get to bed (and get some much needed "beauty" rest!).  I hope you are all doing well and thanks so much for stopping by.

Not long after I took these rather lovely pictures my eyes began to water and became irritated.  I couldn't say which of my multiple of purples caused the problem, but they continued to water and be angry for many, long hours.  I regret that I did not just take it all off, despite being busy at work.  I digress.  Most makeup lovers probably know that purple pigments can be dicey as they often contain red pigments, which are notoriously irritating to the eyes.  I find that about half the time I'm just fine and half the time I'm not.  In any case, I shall not give up on purples.  I love them too, too much!  Today I've let my eyes rest and recover and I will be back and up to no good with the purples again tomorrow, no doubt.  :)

How fab does the Vincent Longo Water Canvas foundation look in the photos here?  I'm impressed.  It was getting a little oogly on me around the nine or ten hour mark (some shininess and mild breakdown), but really, that's not shabby at all.  Also, that might have been the primer's fault.  I still haven't decided how well the Armani does for me in terms of longevity, while I know I do love its silky feel initially.  Also, I am so pleased with how the Water Canvas literally feels cool, moist, and refreshing as it's being applied.

Let me know your thoughts about any of this!  And thanks for stopping by!

My hair looks really goofy here and my brows need to be trimmed.  But let's talk about MAKEUP.  The Tokidoki eyeshadows I used were from the Robbery palette and they were all contained in the same mini palette (alongside a gorgeous lime color and peachy glitter blush).  I was and am a huge fan of Tokidoki makeup!  Sure, some of the items in the line were misses, but overall I really enjoyed it.

I am loving Lancome Evermore Lilac.  It's got gorgeous gold glitter and is all sorts of iridescent shimmery cool.  I applied it with my fingers here.  Easy!

The new Urban Decay eyeliners are hawt.  It's true.  I'm going to have a ton of fun playing with and wearing them!

As soon as I put on this lip color I got freaked out about it.  It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I knew the shimmer was going to end up kind of all over my face.  I took it right off.  I ended up wearing Dior Lip Glow part of the day and then Chanel Glossimer in Crushed Cherry later on.  I'll have pictures of that one, soon, I hope!  It's really nice.

Bryn, if you are reading, one day I do hope to have a step-by-step sort of tutorial for you!  I haven't forgotten!  I'm just lazy, I fear.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lips:
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine #5

This was my first time trying the Clinique CC Cream.  I have to say, so far I really like it!  It didn't break down funny through the day and covered smoothly with a nice glow.  The color seems very good on me as well.

I can't say that I'm at all impressed with the powder shadows in the Benefit kit.  I am a fan of the creams, though.  I really like how adding that bit of Birthday Suit over top of Two Cents gave a neat highlight with more impact.  The pigment on It's Complicated was just plain sad, thus why I added some Coralista blush over top of it to add more oomph.

High Beam turned out kind of pretty!  I might have to try that one more often.

Feel free to ask questions about anything.  Thanks for stopping by!

The lip looks a little more red here than it did in person.  It's a really bold raspberry sort of red-pink.  I'm wearing two layers of it in these pictures.

I think the silver on the inner corner of my eyes is a little kooky - aaand I think I like that.  :)
