Phoenix Rising

Here I'm wearing one of my favorite foundations, Koh Gen Do Aqua, with a Dior Diorific lipstick from the new holiday collection.  It's called Diorling.

My eyes turned out to be a bit of a mess, but actually a good one, I do suppose!  I was in a hurry and was trying for something quick but glamorous.  I always love wearing golds, bronzes, and coppers.

The Dior lipstick is pretty great.  It did start to feel significantly dry on my lips after a few hours on, but it wore nicely (no lipstick on my teeth), faded evenly (still looked pretty good after about four hours with tons of talking throughout), and maintained a very crisp and perfect outer line.  Also, it felt extremely lightweight on the lips.  I liked it enough to buy the other LE shades as well!

I think that the Fiberwig mascara may have caused me some eye distress the day I wore this look.  It sure felt like a fiber was stuck in my right eye most of the day.  No good.  I've worn it before without trouble - I suppose the lesson is to be very, very careful?  At this point, I have no desire to try it again in the very near future!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Gorgeous! I never would have thought to team a coppery-bronze eye with red lips.

    1. Thank you! It seemed like a good pair. Sometimes I get confused what to put reds with, though!

Please be kind. I'm happy to learn and grow, but it's also my face we're talking about! Also, no shamelessly promoting your blog or site here, please. Thank you!
