Emerald Pretty, a Fond Farewell!

Friends, I do apologize for the lack of motivation to keep up with my posts here!  I imagine it is only a phase that I'm going through and I do promise to get right back on track as soon as possible.

This is a look that I wore last Wednesday.  It features a few of my favorite things really:  Tarina Tarantino Emerald Pretty palette, YSL Glossy Stain (16, specifically), MUFE Lift foundation, and Nars Gaeity blush.

I am not at all going to be able to remember everything I'm wearing here, but I'll do my best to list the important items.

The majority of the eyeshadows I used were from the Tarina palette:  Sawdust Heart (smudged into upper lash line), Glinda's Kiss (inner corner), Dandy Lion (crease and smudged into liner on lowers), and Very Wicked (lid).  I used a dark brown Bare Escentuals Round the Clock eyeliner along lash lines underneath the shadows.  I believe I used a dark sort of mossy green eyeliner of the same type on my waterline.  The Round the Clock eyeliners are really great!  They are super smooth, very pigmented, and long lasting as well.

My eyes watered so much the day I wore this.  I'm sad just remembering it!  The tears ended up washing off much of the eyeshadow from my right eye, several times over.  I tried to keep repairing it, but it was kind of hopeless.  I blame it all on the Fiberwig incident from the day before.

On my face, I remember MUFE Lift foundation in 11, BE Luminous 1 concealer under my eyes, and Nars Gaeity blush.  I believe the mascara used that day was Korres Volcanic with Givenchy Phenomeneyes over top and on lowers.  I used YSL black cream liner to tightline my eyes.  And YSL Glossy Stain 16 is on my lips.  The rest is boring details anyway, right?  :)

I absolutely adore my Emerald Pretty palette and have enjoyed using it quite a few times.  I'm really sad to see Tarina's makeup leaving Sephora.  That's an understatement actually.  I'm devastated!!  I bought some of the eyeshadow duos, eyeliners, and sparklicity glosses on sale recently in mourning.  Prior to that I'd bought several eyeshadow palettes, sparklicity loose and spray shimmers (only the pinky spray one),  the pink brush set, the pressed powder (too yellow), and a black hair clip.  Also, I was lucky enough to speak with Tarina a little bit about her makeup line (specifically, nail polishes) at a work event in San Francisco about two years ago?  It was not long after her line had started.  She seems like a really cool person and I adore her bright, bright pink hair!

Let me know if you have any questions or comments about this look.  I'll do my best to remember details as much as I can!

    1. Thank you so much! It's nice to find another TT lover. We gotta stick together!! <3

No, I do not. I've tried clear gels in the past, but find them temperamental and sometimes hard to work with. Maybe I just get impatient with them - that is entirely possible! What I do use is a spooly brush to carefully brush them into place. I get a little obsessive about that! They usually stay in place pretty good after that, but occasionally I bump them and they end up all crazy looking.

  2. Gorgeous! I often combine olive and emerald colours myself but I haven't for a while. I was lemming a few TT bits but I'm guessing they'd be a bugger to swap for now.

Please be kind. I'm happy to learn and grow, but it's also my face we're talking about! Also, no shamelessly promoting your blog or site here, please. Thank you!
