Steampunk
So, I wore this look on Friday. It was 7:45 in the morning when I took these pictures. I am not a morning person!
Also, I take entirely too long to apply my makeup. I started, with my eyes, at about 6:45 in the morning. Holy cow! This is the first time I've ever attempted a really dramatic smoky eye that early in the day. Go me!
I only wish these pictures better captured the sparkly awesomeness that is Fyrinnae Steampunk. I made the next photo a tiny bit "cooler" in temperature to try and show it more accurately. Morning sun is so gold and warm. I used Makeup Geek Moondust to blend above the crease and on the lowers. I absolutely adore that shadow! It's sort of green, taupe, and pink all at the same time...I think I'm in love.

When I was driving to work, I turned the corner, was going head on into the bright golden sun, and caught a glimpse of my unbelievably sparkly and shimmery eyes in the rearview mirror. Needless to say, that was all I needed to do to drive up against the curb. I am so special.
I'm getting caught up on looks, slowly but surely! I am looking forward to being able to post looks the night of the same day that I wore them. That will be so much easier for remembering exactly what I used and wore. Oh yeah.
Feel free to ask questions about anything and thank you for stopping by. :)

Hey you ;)
ReplyDeleteMikmik here! Steampunk is awesome huh? I don't know whether to call it green or purple.
Register your blog on bloglovin so I can follow you :)

Absolutely gorgeous! I think I need Steampunk in my life. And I don't like mornings either. I especially hate getting up in the dark. So wrong.

Karima! Thanks for coming over. :D *hugs* Yes, it is awesome and I agree that I have no clue what to say about the color. I was thinking it's uh gray based? But lots of green and purple and pink shimmer (I think). It's funny to not even know. I love it, though! I added a Bloglovin link at the very bottom. :) Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteLou - thank you!! You would rock it out hard, I'm certain! Oh gosh, yeah, I can't stand getting up so early. I can actually get used to it if I'm on a steady schedule, but that doesn't ever happen where I'm at now. It's much nicer to take my time waking up!
I'll be off to bed early tonight I think. It's been one of those days when you just want to shout 'Are you having a laugh!?' because everything goes wrong.

Feel better! I know exactly what you mean.
DeleteI NEED that LORAC lip colour... it is amazing. Totally lifts the smokey look, i can see it getting a lot of use.
ReplyDeleteHave also experienced the "admiring my fyrinnae e/s in rearview mirror" driving hazard!! LOL

You know, I had not expected to love Trendsetter as much as I do, but it's a really fab nude lippie!! The formula is wonderful, too! Ha ha - that's funny about the Fyrinnae driving hazard. They need to come with a warning label.
