Bronzy Vamp

Let me first just point out that I have lip gloss on the top of my chin in all of these pictures except the last one (which I shamelessly fuzzed out with an edit).  It's so sex-ay.  Also, I for sure may have gone overboard with the bronzer products for this look - and I liked it!  There is something freeing about being all bronzed to no end, I have to say.

I also really enjoy how the brow bone highlight pops out so much more with my skin looking so bronzed.  In this look, I was kind of playing with different forms of the duochrome MAC Club eyeshadow dupe - both in my eyeshadow, via Kat Von D's Stryker, and the lip gloss.  The gloss I found at Sally Beauty Supply recently and it immediately struck me as a super cool Club dupe!  It's also a HUGE tube of gloss!

I love Hawkwind as the inner corner color because it's kind of white with a greenish flash.  It looked even more green and flashy in real life.  Also, you can see how smudging Stryker into a very dark eyeliner on my lower lash line really popped out the jeweled green in it.

The MUFE Aqua liner I used on my upper lash line is burgundy but doesn't appear so here.  I'm not entirely happy with my flick.  I feel like I have to do a flick or wing with liquid liner and I'm conflicted about that.  I guess I'm not sure what to do at the end and don't figure I can just stop blunt, if that makes sense.  Anyway, blah blah, moving right along!

I love the blueish-green shimmer in the lip gloss.  And I'm not sure why my eyes look so blue below, but I'm digging it.  My eyes used to be very blue when I was a kid, and over the years they have become more green-blue.  I think they tend to look more green than blue, but when I use certain colors in my makeup, they can definitely appear much more blue.  It's pretty fun.  I really can't complain.

I've been having fun playing with the Becca Bronzing Skin Perfector.  It has a primer-like texture, only thicker.  It also offers more coverage than I expected.  When I put it on my face, I have a moment of feeling like I'm trying to rub chocolate in.  :)  I definitely look completely crazy until it's blended in all the way!  I do like that it's pretty quick and easy though, and a bit of mineral powder over top finishes off what I consider to be my "foundation" part of the look.  I still use some setting powder, although I'm not sure that's entirely necessary.  And the bronzer I used over that was really just excessive.

What do you think?  Can I pull off the excessively bronzed look?  And was I completely bonkers to do it with a vampy lip?  Thanks for any input.

Please be kind. I'm happy to learn and grow, but it's also my face we're talking about! Also, no shamelessly promoting your blog or site here, please. Thank you!
