Pop!
Today's makeup is inspired, somewhat loosely, by Andy Warhol and the Nars collection that bears his name. I didn't have as much time as I wanted to do my eyes, so I went for minimal effort and maximum impact. Also, because I don't own any of the Nars Warhol stuffs, I reached for my Sleek Circus palette for bright colors.
It's a bit much, really, but I don't mind it. I'm game for just about anything when it comes to makeup! Also, I have to say that I'm disappointed by the Nars Warhol eyeshadows that I've touched in person. I was swatching the brown flowers palette today and found the pigmentation to be really lacking. :(
To help the yellow color be as bright as I wanted it to be, I used the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool as a base. That worked out great, I have to say! It's a sheer, shimmery white color. I expect that the shimmer in Too Cool is why the yellow appears shimmery here. Please disregard the ridiculous rash on my neck below. Ugh. I'm not sure what that was all about. Apparently I have sensitive neck skin.

I did not use setting powder over top of my mineral powder foundation today. Guess what? I didn't notice any difference in wear, performance, or appearance. I may have just eliminated a needless step for myself!
I really love the new Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener. It's like the YSL Touche Eclat but with more coverage. The color is great on me, too! I used it in conjunction with the Well Rested click pen, and I think I like that better than just the Well Rested by itself.
Why is it that the Fiberwig Volume Lash mascara always looks amazing on my right eye (seen in the close up) but looks crappy and clumpy on my left eye (not shown in close up!)? I find that to be odd and annoying.
That's all for tonight! I'm going to go eat some trashy food and watch Zoolander with my friend. Thanks for stopping by!
